Hi everyone! Can i borrow a set of snow chains for this weekend (friday to sunday)? Anyone willing to lend one that you aren't using? for stock wrx wheels...

you dont need chains for your stockers. you'll be fine up there.

also, where exactly are you planning to drive b/c there is no snow in the tahoe forecast

And chain sucks. If you REALLY REALLY needed it, get cables. They are much easier on your car and tires.

Yea i suppose it couldnt hurt to have them for a safety precaution. Remember it all depends on the person.

even with AWD if you have crappy tires it still gonna be hard to drive in the snow. I know, I upgraded my tires, they are great in the rain but they are not much better in the snow than the stockers. I went to Bear Valley during the first week in Jan and even with AWD I was still sliding, sometimes on purpose, sometimes not. I suggest if ya can get a good set of snow tires if you go to the snow a lot, that's what I plan to do.
