The chains the "RADIAL CHAIN by SC" model # CH 2311T
Tire size is meant for the wrx, or else i would've never bought it.

because.

california state law says you need to carry snow chains with you at ALL times when in the snow.....regardless of the kind of drive your car is.

Depending on the level of chain controls they can make you put chains on your AWD/4WD cars.

That's why.

it can get so bad up there, that they even required Rubicon Wranglers to put on chains. it's only happened once in like 10 years, but it can happen. Moreover, the highways may be cleared nicely, but the smaller roads leading to the different areas may not be.

$40 is cheap for peace of mind.

they usually just close the road completely before going to stage 3 however

Stage 1-snow tires OR 4wd
Stage 2-Chains or 4wd with snow tired
Stage 3-chains on ALL cars
