Snow Chains

A couple of friends of mine are thinking of going to Tahoe in 2 weeks. I'm bringing my WRX, but unfortunately, my buddy's car is a FWD. Any of you know where to rent snow chains? He didn't want to buy since he's selling the car within a few
months.

Thanks!

Just buy em. They're not that expensive. If you don't use em...return em. Either that or check craigslist..just make sure you get the right size.

What size tires....I might have some.

I've got an old set of cable chains that I used on my '97 Civic, as well. They are old and corroded, but should still work.

I used to carry them in the back of my Subaru, but I stopped doing that because I've never been checked.

I find this all kinda funny. Lived in the mid west for 6 years. snowed like crazy every winter. no one used chains.

We just slowed the **** down when on the road.

anyone from outside california should laugh at the way most californians handle the snow. Utter freak outs.

Shoot I drove my old civic with ES100's and INSANELY stiff suspension in 4-6 inches of snow with no chains..haa.

It's all true. California for some reason destroys people's ability to use their brains in weather that isn't perfect sun.

Oh so true^^^... I live up in Tahoe, it is pretty funny/scary to see that madness and shenanigans people try when driving in the snow!!!

I agree,

honestly speeding in the snow is safer for me no matter what people say, all the retarded visitors to tahoe just go uber slow and keep braking making traffic back up and that =fender bender wrecks etc.....

Safer to speed around them, however one time we passed this guy completely legally not fast even but he kept speeding up and coming to a stop, he got scared when we went around him and almost wrecked on his own just jerking the wheel, idiottttttttsssssssssssss

I don't know if I should be offended by this comment, I guess I'm sorry for being one of the visitors up in Tahoe? YEA RIGHT!!

I don't have the tire size, but never mind... I guess I asked the wrong crowd... I'll go somewhere else. We have WRC drivers in here!

Thanks anyway!
