in case you dont have an 06, you should know that trick is only for 06 i think. earlier years didnt have a seat belt chime.

 

be glad you dont have a honda, thoes are the worst.

 

anyone know how to get rid of the your door is open with the key in the ignition chime for a '05?

 

+1 i want to kill the guy that thought that was a good idea to remind you of not wearing a seat belt...no **** im not wearing a seat belt, i JUST stepped into the fawking car! i have a 91 civic and of course it has that option but it doesnt have any damn cup holds or a clock
i disconnected the chiming box thing in my 01 and 98RS since it drove me insane

you would have to wire the circuit in a loop so it thinks the door is always closed. I would imagine that if you took the plunger out you'd be able to see how the plunger contacts the wires. Pull the wires out and twist them together.

 

cover up the speaker, simple as that!

 

I like having the chime....that way I dont lock my keys in teh car

by the way, does anyone know how to make it so that when the keys are in the ignition and the car is off, the doors wont lock? the last car I had, if the keys were in the ignition and you tried to lock the doors they'd go right back to unlock

 

only use the keyless entry?

I usually do, but if I'm carrying a lot of crap I open my door and push the lock button before I fill up my arms

 

ive locked myself out on 2 occasions doing that. now i no longer use that button when stepping out the car.
