I'm trying to diagnose a boosting problem that my car has been having for the past 2 months. Every now and then the boost controller shuts off and it runs solely on the wastegate. After a little bit of driving, the boost magically appears again. Did a little bit of research and discovered that a bad MAF can cause this type of behavior without causing a CEL to appear. My car hasn't thrown a CEL at all during all of this. The car is an 02 WRX with a TBE and a Cobb CA Stg 2 tune. Anyone have a working MAF that I can borrow for a tank of gas or so I can diagnose the problem? Also, if it does turn out to be a MAF, where is the best place to purchase one? Dealer? Parts house?
