Dont see the pledge saying allah, buddah, or what have you?
The funny thing is that you know how Christianity and Catholicism is tied to U.S. history, but you still spout off with lines of thought like this when it suits your purpose.

Regardless, I'll take your bait. How many Budhists and Muslims were in this country up until the last several decades? Try again, mr smartypants!

oooh, he called me a moron, and doesn't have a legitimate response, gotta love debating these genius republicans.

My vision goes way beyong the bush administration, I've visited over 10 foreign countries in the last couple of years, and while most people I've met still are very kind to Americans, almost to a person, the foreigners I've met can't figure out why americans are so stupid as to let these criminals run our country.

And the good old red white and blue is more and more seen to represent corporate hedgemony, global empire and cultural homogenization, having bush inc. wrapping themselves in it isn't giving it any more credibility.

The US is in one of two positions right now- either it's 1938 Germany and we are about to blow the war on terror into an all out self destructive world war, or else we are living through a period like 1980's USSR where the costs of attempting these global imperial ambitions will drive the republic to bankruptcy and dissolution.

on a more personal note- Salty, do us all a favor and STFU.

Man, why are you such a jerk? Just because someone is a registered Republican you're going to clown?

You give people with your opinion a bad name. Why don't you just sit down and be quiet.

10 whole foreign countries! Wow . You should write a book on your findings in different cultures. 10 countries is chump change btw. Come to think of it... maybe you should move to one of them!

The Flag doesn't represent ANYTHING you're blabling about either. Your train of though saddens me and i will no longer waste my time on you. Just like my Atheist post above you agreed to, If what this country represents offends you so much then why not move to one of those 10 countries you're impressed with?

tia, salty

Using logic like that we should all be thanking the buffalo gods..

see the error in your ways of thought?

And there has allways been plenty of muslims and buddists, esp those religions of african decent. So you should most likely read a book before you spout of some half truths and uneducated drizzle...

automaticlly assuming someone is of x y or z political affiliation based on views is a assinine thing to do.

as far as crimianls running goverments, many of those countries you have been to i am sure of have had criminals in power at one time or another, or even currently.

It happens in politics power tends to corrupt or attract those who are un savory. That is the nature of man.

Dont think any one person is qualified to state what the flag represents, as each persons views are different.

i tend to lean more towards the latter comment (bankrupcy, and economic failure)

Oh and hey pot its kettle (stfu your self )

Where's the 3rd option?
Who gives a hoot, this is a car forum and they don't say the pledge before races, or make you say it at the dealer before receiving warranty denied service, no one on here is in grammar school anymore(I hope, though sometimes I wonder), and nobody really knows/believes what they are saying in the pledge because they are too young to even spell allegiance.
