That between the legs goal was one of the best goals I've seen in a long time. Hertl is the real deal.

so whats the etiquette about tossing your hat? I threw mine into the lower bowl and I saw some little kid pick it off the ground and wear it for the rest of the game. My girl went down there and told the little kid in front of his dad that he can either toss the hat onto the ice or give it back to us. They gave it back to us, but who grabs a hat after it was thrown to go onto the ice?
He figured u didn't want it so he kept it

Besides, I wonder what they do with the hats afterwards...

That TMNT nickname has to go. Call him something 2 syllables or less haha. Personally I'll be calling him the Hurt, after the ways he's played. Offensive production, quick skating, not afraid to hit, the Hurt.

And the hats get donated to the Sharks foundation IIRC.

That was a great goal but as a hockey player, I'm sure he's gonna get hit hard pretty soon from someone. He's gonna get head hunted for sure. I'd be surprised if he didn't get cracked by some allstar big hitter.

If he keeps going like that, they will, but that will be later in the season IMO.

Sorry I'm still for a loss of words.

I was JUST talking about him at work after game 1 and then again after game 2.

But this...

He keeps even a 1 goal a game, he would be unreal, let alone 6 goals in 3 games.

Only Shep, Burns, and Wingels have more hits on the team than Hertl. He's no small guy, and he doesn't shy from hitting or being hit. I seriously doubt he will be "head hunted". Every team will be looking for a shut down method, but head hunting wont be anyone's answer.

I was gonna say, even if they try to head hunt him, he doesn't seem like the kind of guy to be bothered by it already.
