I may not be able to camp all weekend but I'll be in and out all weekend. We'll have to see how things run their course.

That beach was kickass in a "Saving Private Ryan" sort of way. Zow. We almost got hit by shrapnel 78643287 times and by live fireworks 3 times. The guy next to us was demonstrating why all that crap is illegal.

yeah it ripped. the beach was going off. I was over at capitola beach watching the entire coast go off at a safe distance.

Update though...>Sucks for Fatal john. Dude got screwed by SC police man. Got a ticket for "camping" and had to go home. In my life in santa cruz I have never heard of such a thing and I've been on those beaches at all hours of the night. Such bull crap.

I hope he had a good time back home with his booom toys in the cuts. (Fatal...you go down to ripon?)

I feel like a dick. I couldn't get a hold of my brother and I couldn't talk my girlfriend into letting them crash> We had the damn space. So pissed.

santa cruz cops can be massive dicks at times. I got 2 tickets that were bull crap there and you can't fight them. Cops always show up. And they never freakin loose...well once they did. We pressed charges. My little brother got pulled over 18 times, 7 breathalizer tests and many stand up drunk tests. NOT ONE ticket. Kinda obvious they knew who they were messing with.....only punk rock kid I ever saw driving a pimped out pink and white 55 chevy.

Sucks for john and it sucks for santa cruz cause they made 4 more visiters leave pissed.

 

well the cops there at beer can beach was just enjoying the show.they were kinda checking everything out but not even strict and i asked them how may so far have they busted.and they said just a couple of guys who stayed overnight and tried to hide some pallets under the sand.

 

did you end up coming back after you got food? we didn't see you guys.

 

yeah...the police generally don't bust anyone for fireworks on the beaches themselves. It's only in the cities and only if you're being stupid. Throwing them out of your car and what not...

Just kind of a santa cruz county tradition out there. Beer can. New Brighton. etc.

but aparently they don't like camping.

on non holiday times they don't seem to care...and I have never heard of anything like $200 in fines...crazy.

Cmon Ray haha it wasnt your fault, although $200 in fines and asking me to leave. I still managed to have a kick *** 4th of july, we made soooo many home made rockets that sHNIT was not even funny haha ok it was, I got videos for those of you who know me personally I will prolly carry a few copies around to give away. My neighborhood was a complete war zone im talking the steet was ingulft in flames my friend cought on fire but was able to get in my pool only loosing a lil bit of hair from his dome, hahaha that guys luck was bad, I gave him a roman candle which shoots M80's out of it and it is a 6shot, hahaha shot number 5 blew up about 3' away from him and shot 6 blew up in his hand hahahahhaha he started screaming and went blind and def for about 5 minutes but was fine after that. k im at work fill u guys in with vids later.

 

Yeah, we came back down but headed toward the middle when we saw some people we were meeting up with and couldn't find earlier. Then it was all about paying attention and dodging things that were on fire...

i live on soquel dr facing the freeway close to the damn chp station it was a close drive for me so i didnt go to the beach till about 5pm while some of the people were leaving.as for the camping thing aptos is pretty strict about it except the rv guys who parks down at seacliff beach so my best bet is next time just rent an rv for everybody to crash on during the night

 

why didnt i hear about this sooner?
