HOLY S**T!

Dood, that is seriously messed up. Hope you are okay. How fast were you going when the idiot tried to pull the U?

Be very careful over the next few weeks. Accidents like that tend to cause injuries that may not show up for a bit, the least of which is lower back pain or neck pain. Headaches can mean head trauma of some sort. My wife is a clinical neuropsychologist, and part of her specialty is dealing with brain injuries from accidents and strokes. She mentioned to me once that in ANY collision, your brain will receive shock because, after impact or very sudden velocity change, it will deform and move toward the direction of the impact, which can cause some damage. The airbag helps A LOT, but don't assume that you are unhurt. I don't want to freak you out, just make you aware of possible issues. Take it easy for the immediate future, and if you have any kind of pain, dizziness, nausea, vomitting, double vision, etc., go see the doctor immediately, and don't settle with their insurance company until you KNOW you are okay. The car can be replaced, you can't.

That really sucks, dood... but silver lining... STi?

Good luck, man. I hope he had insurance, at the very least so your insurance doesn't have to foot the bill for your medical.

Sorry to hear about the unfortunate news Neven. At least you were wearing your seat belt and came out with only a headache. Hopefully the guy who made the mistake will have insurance, and you can get a new and improved car.

Nev -

Sorry to hear about the accident and the car. Most importantly, you came out of it alive. Like everyone else said, make sure you followup with your doctor or ANY doctor within a few days. Pay attention to where all of your pains are and let your doctor know. Don't take any risks with your health.

As for your car, stay on top of your insurance company and let them take care of the car. Also make sure that a police report has been filed.

Man, glad you're okay dude. Once you're feeling better, we can discuss your NEW car. Hang in there buddy.

damn... sorry to hear that nev... hope you recover asap... as for the uninsured coverage, i think it is as it says... if you get into an accident with a person who doesn't have insurance, you don't get money from your insurance company.. you need to take legal action so you get money straight from him... (that is what i think, so don't quote me on that ) oh btw when you are all well and better....

Wow, what an ordeal! I'm glad you're ok. Just watch out for the soft-tissue stuff, ie. don't just sign off on the injury issue - say you don't know yet. You don't want to let it go thinking you're ok, only to discover that it hurts like hell to turn your neck around in 6 months. That can really ruin your livelihood, and you don't want to en up paying thousands out of pocket for physical therapy...
