I say someone should kidnap him and beat him with a rattan cane. 20 lashes for each dog that died under his care or had to be euthanized because of his brutality.
Then, take his bloodied body, tie him up, and put him in a cage with a couple of very hungry Presa Canarios, and let them have a turn with him.
If he survives that, then he's suffered enough.

He is definitely NOT someone the Niners would consider. I highly doubt they would risk the stigma he carries right now. I see how y'all might see the talent he possesses but the front office has a different mindset than most of us. Plus, the team is more than a single player away from a return to glory.I dunno if it was ESPN or the NFL network but earlier I caught Trent Dilfer talking about how if Vick is allowed back in the league, he could see him coming to a team & proving his worth (i.e work ethic, character, etc.) as well as getting back into "game shape." The thing is this would be as a #3 or practice squad type of situation.
I like flukewrx's idea of aligning himself w/ a well-respected coach, and not just for an image thing either. He would definitely gain a lot by being mentored by someone like Dungy.
I'm still waiting to see how his construction gig works out before I offer more in re: to his possible return. I'm just glad that almost all of the surviving dogs were given their 2nd chance.
*EDIT* Here's a story that ESPN's E:60 ran last month about their rehabilitation. It was sad to see & hear again about their treatment at the Vick compound, but awesome to see them now.

I understand the love for dogs and am completely against animal cruelty in that sense, but don't think that a jail term is necessarily the best solution to the problem. Yes, he will be deterred from further animal abuse but the media made an example out of an accomplished (in a sense) person while these things still continue to go on. These animals were bread, like cattle, and were slaughtered, which to me does not constitute the right for the government to take years out of a person's life and career. I won't go to jail if I run over 1,000 dogs in my life while driving, but if I choose to let 1 dog fight another then I should spend a significant chunk of my life behind bars?
The morale is wrong, but so is the punishment.

^ thats so NOT the point, pos vick had everything in the world, money, fame, cars, toys! the problem is he is still hood! doing the things _ _ _ _ _ _ _ do that give them a bad rep. I think he should of had more jail time.

So that warrants him more jail time? Because I don't think he went to jail for that. Keep the racism at home.

I'm at home right now, how about he comes into your house and kills your dog. I also never said anything racist.

That underlined letters also just randomly happen to spell out a racial slur, I understand.
You would make a man serve 20 years in jail for participating in dog fighting? You might as well sentence him to death since you're completely taking away/destroying his life.

wow man! I never said that he did walk into peoples homes. All I was saying is his is a ghetto POS that made dogs fight. I guess you guys don't understand what it is like to have a loveing pit bull that is a big baby and is great with everyone! now when I take my nice dog for a walk I have people move across the street cause they think all these dogs fight. I just don't think that it is right to fight dogs...
