Running Headers on Protuned Stg 2

I know max benefits will only come with another tune but I have read that it raises your AFR's and with equal lengths it definitely needs a tune, any input on this? I just wanna know if its safe running off of my tune right now.

Why put it on if you don't get any gains from it?

I'm back to running stock headers with my tune for EL headers without any problems (0 knock / misfires). I wouldn't go to a track day with this setup tho til I get re-tuned in June.

Why do you need to "slap em on"? Just buy em' and hold onto them until you can get tuned. Then post your before and after dyno results for the community!

Do you even need to post this? Ask your tuner.

+1, my tuner's answer would be the only one that would matter.

You should be okay if you take it easy. I think pre-turbo parts aren't as critical as post-turbo (the latter may cause boost spike).

No first-hand experience, but I did read a post from someone who reported running alot richer after installing an EL header without a tune, so the AFR would go down supposedly, not up.

I did run with an EL header for a bit of time before getting the car retuned, the car didn't blow up.

Also, if you haven't gotten the EL headers yet, do your research carefully. There are pros and cons.

Why? People need to hear "Slap that **** on yo!" so they can go blow their **** and blame their "tuner", i.e. us
