latly when i start my car my rpm jumps to around 2ish than goes down to the bar right above the 0rpm, im thinkin around 200? and it goes buck up to 1.5 idel. is that normal or what

 

hey man, i think you might have a vaccuum leak, not sure.. i had this issue with my s13 and it was a busted up vaccuum hose, i also adjusted the idle air valve or something like that.. it's worth a try, goodluck.

 

could a aftermarket BOV be the problem?

 

yeah, tighten the spring setting on your blow off valve and see what happens
