***Need help troubleshooting problem with RPM drop***

So the past few days my car has been acting kinda funny. After it died out on me while driving in a parking lot, I noticed that whenever I am coming to a stop and shift from either 1st or 2nd gear to Neutral, the RPMs drop almost completely, and then pick back up. The car still runs fine and everything, but there is obviously something wrong.

It has been a while since I have given it a tune up, but I am thinking it can be fuel filter or loose hose? I've looked under the hood but cannot find any hoses lose or anything. The fact that after the quick RPM drop, the car runs just fine makes me weary of it being a hose problem.

Has anyone had a similar problem, or possibly have some insight on what areas to troubleshoot??? I appreciate any help you guys can give. Thanks a lot!

How many miles?

Perform a major service first; plugs, filters, fluids, etc.
