Sort of like you were saying to me about "it depends on what people do in that area". I'm sure you're right in that statement.

The cop may have assumed your front windows were illegally tinted if you had close to max tint in the back and had your windows down in an attempt to hide it. A stupid assumption, but like you said; crap shoot.

I have a very mild tint, something like 35% maybe? You can see in at night.

While the Oakland ghetto fools are amusing, I was thinking the "Bay Area Racing" clowns on YouTube.

I live in nearby napa and I've been pulled over by Napa cops/chp and Fairfield proper by the CHP and local police. I had a fully built hybrid motor with no cats, aftermarket everything under my hood, racing harnesses with no stock belts in the car and they never blinked an eye at me. I don't know if I was special or what. I was polite and they tended to look me over, give me a ticket if I deserved one and send me on my way if not.

A couple of my friends with less blatant modding but had a bit more of what I would call a "Ricer attitude" got state reffed. So take it as you will.
I used to think this way too until I was pulled over out of the blue. I was cruising on the freeway with my wife, doing the speed limit coming back from a family dinner when I was pulled over. Cop said my car looked like it was used for street racing (my sti appearance was all stock except for jdm pink springs, and the muffler tucks under the bumper, not a ricer angled one). He had me pop the hood and wrote me up for a state ref ticket.

Bottom line, if a pig is on a mission and wants to pull you over for no reason, they will.

Yes, that is an Impreza.

As for that video, just stupid... The comments are also f***ing stupid.

On the thread topic, California's "green" ways aren't as green as people think it is since it takes so much energy to make cars "clean"...
