Hey guys,

Im really thinking aobut modding my 05 WRX to Cobb Stage 2, but the only worries I have are the smog checks. What do you guys do when your suby requires a smog check? Reinstall all stock parts again? If so, how long does it take you guys, and if you dont do it yourself, how much do you guys pay? Can a Cobb Stage 2 WRX pass a CA smog test? If it can pass, are you guys running with a cat/catless DP?

Throw in an Uppipe and what then?

Any info would help since this is really the only thing holding me back. thanks.

 

Well, this is how I see it. I have and 05 as well...and it won't be at least 4 years til you have to get smogged. Have fun with it. Well, 3 years now for me...

 

I can pass with just a hi-flow dp.

Yes, no smog until 6 years after the model date (2001+). So when you see the "smog abatement fee" on your registration, be sure to thank Arnold!

 

you can refresh it back to stock with ur AP. And it's 6 yrs not 4 years from ur car production date that you have to smog.. so 2011 is when you will have to do it... do you think you will still have ur car then? If so .. you can always turn it back to stock.
