Was just checked out Bear Valley's base cam. MAD snow. And they're closed. No lifts running at all. It's gonna be SAVAGE tomorrow. Woot!

I don't think I'll even hit any of my regular places. Save those for Sunday. Wish I could stay up til monday. Man. Nuts.

 

^ it;s still going to be really windy tom. I could not go up till saturday when it starts snowing a little less. they will still get 3 plus more feet!

 

I've seen varied reports all day. My bet is that it'll be a lot less windy. This part of the storm got way bigger than they expected. And it's blowing through hard. I think it's going to be a bit windy until sunday with monday/tuesday being epic days.

But I'll give it a go with a guess of no more than 10-15mph winds with 25 gusts.
Totally doable.

I bet your right, in a storm like this is really good people that hit up the mountain so im sure for us it's not big thing, but new riders should not roll or people new to driving in the snow also lol

A little off topic but do any of you guys know of any roads/ vacant lots in the truckee area that would be fun to drive in the snow. I know the slopes will be crowded this weekend so I thought it may be fun to do some driving. Pm me if you have any ideas
