So very sad and I am sorry for your loss
! I'm sure China is in a better place now and not suffering anymore. Trying to keep my tears back but can't do it. We have 2 dogs and I fear for their time to come
! I was going to bed but I think I'll go hug my dogs first. RIP China.

aww I know how it feels to lose a loved pet. I treat mine like my kids and it breaks my heart when its their time to go. Just remember all the happy times you had it does help. warm wishes to you and your wife.
this is so sad...I'm so sorry to hear for your loss. You can tell she is really loved. I don't know what I would do if I lost my dog. They're so much a part of us as any person is. Extremely powerful pictures. At least she's comfortable and not suffering anymore. R.I.P. China
3 weeks ago our cat was diagnosed with Feline Squamous Cell Carcinoma (Cancer of the tongue). She began to not eat, not drink, and she drooled heavily. Though the cancer was very aggressive, she never complained, always purred, always greeted at the door, and always wanted to snuggle on my wife's lap. Her spirit was strong.
We changed out her food from the dry foods to canned cat food to make it easier to eat. She ate, but it was very little. Since she was not drinking we had to inject 100cc of Lactated Rigner's (to hydrate her) in her back. It's like an IV, but instead you inject it under her skin. The last couple days things seemed worse as her tongue seemed to protrude more, and now she wasn't eating, and injecting her was getting harder .She lost over a pound in 2 weeks (note: as of this morning she was at 6.3lbs). In this past 3 weeks the cancer had taken over the whole tongue. This morning we put our precious China down. She will be missed.
Here are some pics I shot over the past 3 weeks including last night and this morning:
