Renewing my Subie pledge badge?
Dude, go get white, it's obvious you want it
.......note though that the current white is satin white pearl (?), vs the aspen white of '08. I liked the AW better, but you only really see the difference when you have both cars clean and shiny and parked beside each other.
As for the 09+ WRX faster than STi comment, that is true for 0-60, because of the WRX's taller 2nd gear. The STi has to shift to third. After that, the STi's additional 40hp comes into play. Plus the handling, the brembo, etc etc. I've done 3 hours of driving on a twisty mountain road on my buddy's 2010 WRX, and first thing you'll notice is the big difference between the 5spd and the 6spd. So much easier to stay/get back in the power band with the STi.
Don't get me wrong though, for a purely street-driven car, the WRX is better value for the money. The additional HP, better handling, brembo brakes, etc etc, is only realized at the track....that's coming from a GR STi owner lol

If you do anything serious like track, you want the STI. I wish the STI wagon/hatch body was available when I bought my pignose as now that I track the car I'm constantly wishing I had the STI... and that has nothing to do with power.

Even though I just bought a car that probably costs more than these two, I did this in part because this is not going to be a car I am going to modify - I am just going to drive it. I have my '95 Impreza coupe if I feel the need to unbolt/modify/put a car into a ditch. I knew if I ended up with a new STi that I would be wanting to constantly change stuff.
