so i went through all of squriells videos and so i wanted to just start my car up one time...when i started it up it sounded like it went straight to full throttle...(the tires were moving also)..i had it set up on a chair so the tires were off the ground..i shut off the car because i dont want to blow the motor up...any ideas?
Ok so now I've figured out I need to adjust my idle hers two pics to help you with my confusion the first pic is off the carb with no throttle the next picnics off full throttle which way am I suppost to adjust
in that pix you are about 3/4 WOT.
that black rubber bellows is the arm to the carb. push it closed so looking down the air filter hole, you could see that the carb is closed.
you should be able to turn on the radio and the receiver so you could open and close the carb without the engine running...

so when i start the car it should be pushed all the way closed?
that should just idle when you first start the car.
you can then "blip" it to see it wont die.
i used to keep the glow plug igniter from 30 seconds to a minute after it starts.
go watch a few more youtube vids to get a gauge of what idle speed is versus WOt...
now you know why i bailed on nitros. i went and converted a 10 year old revo that i could not keep constantly running, to electric. i am so happy with my e-revo...
