I'm interested in how the new Dunlop Sport Maxx RT is as a daily tire. The TT had good wet performance and dry was pretty good, but a step down from the autox competitors tires.

Might be a decent RE760 alternative.
They probably aren't as compliant as the Conti DW. The DW are supposed to be very, very good in the wet, but trade a fair amount of turn in for the soft sidewalls and smoother ride. The DW is also pretty reasonably priced, but does not come in the extremely fun EJ205 tire sizes like 215/40/17 or 235/40/17. You want an EJ205 to not feel sluggish in daily, around town low RPM driving? Try some nice small diameter tires and be amazed at how much it changes the entire feel of the car.

They feel light and nimble, but you do feel connected to the road while being able to go over tracks and road imperfections without breaking your teeth.
Grats on your new title.

They aren't stiff, but they definitely are thick. Well at least on my 595s.....we don't have the same ones. Lol. Personally felt the tires of the v4's and mines, the Federals have about 4x the sidewall thickness than the v4's. I can't see the v12's being that much more thicker than the v4's. Using v4's for a comparison; it would take a needle. Federals would take a bullet lol!

Tires are always an interesting subject. The characteristics that people want out of their tires varies so much. Some people prefer uhp tires while other prefer all season tires.

I recently picked up a set of z1 star specs, i'm excited to dd them. I am not so excited to be chewing through them just commuting to work.

It's a balance. Always a balance.
