As a quick background, I am in the process of replacing/upgrading my suspension set up on my ’98 Legacy Outback and having issues sourcing one small part.
I am switching over from WRX based set up to a moderate 1.5" lift using new OEM/SPT parts with King springs. I didn’t want to reuse anything and just slowly put together all new components (yes, this might seem a little OCD).
I have attached suspension diagram below; it is item (19) Spacer. My local NAPA and Subaru dealership were useless over the phone. I couldn't get them to understand what I needed, I am sure it would be easier in person (they close before I can leave work). I also could not find it using RockAuto or other similar part websites. IIRC this spacer is only used in the front assembly.
CLIFF NOTES: What is the part number and/or technical name for diagram item 19. Does anyone have a set or can get it one for me?
Thanks in advance!!!

Basically the front strut spacer/washer that sits on top of the top spring seat perch. I wasn't able to pull up the diagram for your year/model because the site was having bug issues. So I just pulled up the part number for my 00 RS sedan front, it should not be so different in washer size......... but at least its a start for you to search for the correct one. You can give the part number then your vin number, or vin number of vehicle the suspension is coming from and that should get you on your way.
Part # is: 20326AA000
Part # is: 20326AA000

So, 203226AA000 is the one you want, Yuri.

Well if they are able to pull that part up ( which they should), then should understand what they are looking at/what you are looking for. And HOPEFULLY they will be able to locate it in their inventory orrrrrrrrr be able to order it. Some of those parts guys never even taken apart a McPherson strut, so specific experience is really up in the air.
I honestly can't see why they were unable to picture what you are describing,....... because they have a more detailed blown diagram of parts on their computer systems.
I am not completely sure, but the washer should be within similar sizes because it sits on top of the perch that seats after the damper rod, on the threaded top shaft where it meets top hat, then top nut. I know that the damper rod will vary in sizes, but not the threaded top shaft.
If you use the part number, make sure to give them your VIN number too, so they can product match with the vehicle, so their system should tell them if it is the correct one or not.

Awesome, that looks to be it guys! Very much appreciate it
Jourdan - Thanks for the confirmation and a new bookmark.
Mike - Considering I was asking for a $2 part for a 15 year old car, the person probably didn't even care (or couldn't be bothered) to look it up. I never had a good experience calling dealer parts department, this wasn't any different.

*So did you get the part ordered or wut?
FWIW Jake's our inside guy @ Serramonte.650.550.3700
**If you'd called me, in all honesty I would've had to turn the call over anyhow, doing field visits all week. Same as I had to do for Mason and Hide recently.
Call the Parts Department first, then call me if you need to. Sound like a good plan?? The fact you opened the thread with a diagram's sweet, that way you could have called and pointed the post out to make it a little easier on the parts people.**
As for the "technical term" it's a "conical" or "centering" washer. I've personally just grabbed a matching one off a shock assembly, but YMMV.
ISWYDT. Thanks for that man.
**Mike and Jordan, you got a pm, hope it's clear in intent, if needing clarification, let me know and we can chat in person.
