from wat u guys are describing, it sounds like i drive so cal style, when in grid lock stay as close as possible, but still alert to be able to brake in time. lol that and some other stuff i wont name. if ur tire exploded by a bullet, it wasnt me.

 

Its rush hour traffic. Is 10 feet really going to make you feel like you got home faster?

 

It's just amazing how drivers are here in california... on the east coast, the onramps are SOOO short, you have to be on WOT to get close to highway speeds. =P, we have the LONGEST ONRAMPS that people cruise on around 50mph. LOL, I hate it when I speed up on the onramp just to brake cuz some idiot is goin 35-40mph.

 

10ft? No. But multiply 10ft by the number of pansy-*** morons on the road, and instead of "feeling" like I got home sooner, I actually would be.

Don't forget how they drive around at night without headlights and NEVER EVER signal when changing lanes and making turns

Also, notice how they never yield to the driver on the RIGHT, but to the one on the LEFT (BACKWARDS!)

And how they don't know marked middle lanes in large streets are for turning left into driveways OR for merging into flowing traffic on a busy street

Lastly, nobody ever honks here except to show road rage - honking is to alert people that they are driving POORLY

Yes, traffic in the L.A. area is the worst in the country. Everyone knows that. But they still drive better (albeit more aggressive )

 

The problem isn't the 10ft., it's that when there's a huge gap other drivers fill that space so 10ft. becomes 4,5 or 6 cars and then that becomes more space and more cars 'cause one or more of those idiots is just like the original fool who likes to have 4 or 5 car lengths in stop and go traffic.

who said anything about 10 ft. im talking about 8-20 car lengths here. and yes it makes a big difference because then i wont have to constantly stop dead in traffic all the time and actually get home sooner.

if anyone stops with more than 5 car lengths ahead of me, ima honk at their asses. i need more super tones. that or a compressed train horn.
