Random thought... what's it like to drive an s2000?

The only thing that sucks about the s2k is it's like a car built for 100 pound asian boys. Like, the miata and Boxster, it's a beautifully engineered machine and highly praised, high performance, but unfortunately it's not a man's car at all. Place it next to a Corvette/Viper convertible and it's so meh. Obviously that's apples to oranges and I'm well aware corvette/viper is not in the same range of affordability as an s2k, but imho my .02 why I wouldn't get an s2k as an "upgrade" to a Subaru. If you're just looking to swap cars, go for it, but it's not any more awesome than a wrx/sti by any means.

i now own a 2000 s2k. got rid of my 05 sti for it (still have an 06 wrx). of course i miss the power, but the car handles so well out of the box and thats the main reason for the switch. my insurance actually dropped quite a bit (which was a shock) and where i live now i am not just another subaru on the road when i am in it. as a daily driver it can be a little tough, but there is also nothing like going down the road with the top down. its all in the person and what the ultimate goal is. the quality of the car is typical honda. i bought the car with 27k miles on it and now have 32k. not a problem yet (crossing fingers). they hold there value very well also, not too many cars out there can hold 40%-60% of the original retail after 7 years and about 32k miles.
