question for a friend

here is his situation that he told me:

Well, everything's back together in my car. Yippee!!!

Not so fast Bucko.

Here's the problem.

Car wants to go/move in neutral.

Here's the breakdown.

1. Push clutch in, making sure that the gearshift is in neutral.
2. Start car, letting it warm up some.
3. Let clutch out.
4. Car moves forward like it's stuck in gear.
5. Stacy gets pissed off and wants to rip shifter out and beat car with it.

Anyways, a few points to note.

1. Car won't go into any gears, running or not.
2. Shift forks are not broken.
3. Bearings/synchros are all brand new.
4. Gears are too.
5. Brand new fluid is in the tranny as well.

did they do the work them selves? It sounds like it. make sure things on the outside are hooked up the same, if they are then its time to take the tranny back apart.

sounds like something is connected wrong or installed wrong inside the tranny
if it wont go into gear id be pullin the tranny and taking it back apart something was installed improperly
