Question about Santa Cruz Subaru

i need to get my cruise control recall thing done and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to just drop by the service department in Santa Cruz when they open or should i make an appointment?

haha you said appointment. thats a joke. I made one once there for 930am, my car didn't get looked at till 1130am.

You should make one, but don't expect your car to be looked at that exact time. Although I can't come up with any good reasons why.

definitely call to make an appt. although the actual work/service time is only a few minutes, it can take some time to get you thru it. back in mid april when i had the CC taken care of...i only had to wait just under an hour. i'm coincidentally having my 15k done w/ them on thursday.
yeah...we make appt's for svc., to see the dr. or dentist, etc. -- but they sometimes run into unforeseen situations w/ other clients. just one of those "unnecessary" evils of the world, i guess.
oh...ajosselyn, sorry to hear about your luck on that one instance.

I haven't had any problems with this. They always take care of me when I come in. I got my oil changed and the cruise fixed in like an hour...oh and they washed my car too.

I guess when I take my car in for service I expect it to take some time because there are other cars getting worked on and when you're working on a car you never know what will happen. I mean things don't take exactly 2 hours when the book says 2 hours. Might take an hour and a half. Or might hit a complication and take 3 hours. That's life. But I guess I don't assume the world revolves around me so small delays don't bother me.

So yeah. Make an appt. Give yourself a time window. Go get some breakfast accross the street at Chill Out. By the time you're done. They'll be done.

If you have appt's elsewhere they can drive you there...that is sometimes a good plan.
