Mr Martinez of SJPD.........

So i'm coming home from the club, i get gas at the chevron that's a block from my house. I pull out and as i cross the intersection, there is mr retarded sjpd stopped at the intersection travelling perpendicular to me.

I'm coming off a red light. So i'm obviously not speeding.

He then turns from the far left lane of a 3 lane one way road to make a right to follow me. As I turn into my driveway, he flashes his lights. He then tells me to turn off the car, and give him my dl/ins and says I have no plate.....NO SH*T, I just bought the damn car....can he not see the dealer sticker on the windshield?!

He then asks if I came from the street races. No you dumb@ss, I came from a club. I even show him my parking reciept/slip.

Then he makes more of an @ss of himself by tellimg me my exhaust is illegal......umm...it's a bone stock 04 STi. It just turned 3 months old.

I then tell him it's stock...he says it's illegal and that he'll send me to a state ref if i continue to dispute that. Of course I keep on going. Now mind you, i'm being exremely polite, but persistent.

He continues to tell me that dealerships sell cars that are not for off road use.....umm if that's the case, how did i ever register it?!

Then he tells me that dealers don't sell legal parts. I then ask if Subaru sells illegal cars out the factory. He stood by his original statement of off road use.

I then ask him if I have to get a note from subaru to prove it's legal...he never answered that one.

He kept saying how he was in the auto parts industry and knows these things.....yeah....can we say IGNORANT?

All the time he threatens me with a ticket if I don't stop saying it's legal and tells me to go home...of course I won't let it drop.

He finally walks away and tells me to go home. *ummmm i'm in my freaking driveway already......*

So to Mr Martinez of the SJPD......thanks for your service to the community /sarcasm

Now if he had pulled me over cause I looked suspiscious...fine...pull me over, run my license, then tell me that and let me be on my way.....but if that exhaust BS was just to save face.....then you can kiss my @ss

yeah, cops can be pretty retarded sometimes.
the exact same thing happened to me after i bought my motorcycle.
i was sitting at a light and the car behind me (the cop excpet i didnt know it yet) begins to tailgate me after the light turned green. so i speed up a little but never exceed the limit. as soon as i gas it, he flashes his lights. then another police car shows up. long story short, i get the same accusations as Akira-R, except the second cop has me remove all my gear and i get searched for weapons or illegal items. after he realizes that i have done nothing wrong, he trys to ticket me for accelerating too quickly, he knew i didnt speed. anyways, i feel you bro. some cops can be morons...

this should of been posted under "Stupid Cop Tricks" (thread about a month ago).

My buddy teases me about my stock STi exhaust too. Yes moron, it is stock!

Is there a place where we can complain about cops if we feel they are above the law?

Let him take you to the ref and make an even bigger *** of himself when you come back and it is completely legal.

Thursday night I was pulled over for "Gross Display of Power" when I turned left at an intersection ( I had the green left light arrow). I accelerated fast and chirped my tires.

No ticket, The cop just stood there and yelled about screaching my tires, bla bla bla. Gross Display of Power. bla, bla bla.

I was lucky and didn't argue, But I felt like saying "Excuse me? Gross? More like a Cherry Display of Power". My red '04 wagon is cherry in my humble opinion. & "Screech my tires?, that was a chirp. Let me show you a screech!"

Like the subaru song goes "Whateva".

It was stupid of me to pull a quick turn like that on the main drag of the city I was in. Thursday night lots of people out and Five O crawling 'round.

I will havta keep it slow & in low gear and let her growl at low RPM. When I am in that area again.

June 26th I am gonna take the WRX Imprezza badge off the back of my car when I go down to my sis's house. Gonna try the stealth mode. I hope it takes some of the attention off my car.

My friends and I are now using "Gross Display of Power" as a joke /catch fraise.
Sounds funny.

I may add to that post.

I'm also going to call and file a complaint today.

haha I got pulled over in Danville the other night for the Tanabe catback on my STi.

cop asked me if I knew why he pulled me over, I blurted out "NO!!!!" laughingly...

he mutters "well you have a modified exhaust, and that is illegal"

I tell him to look at my hoodscoop, spoiler, and badges "my car came like this occifer"

he asks me for it, so I give him my ins. & reg. & my license with my police officer friend's business card on the back.

he walks back and says "uh, so you work for the Department over there?"

so I say no, my good friend does, and he asks why I put his card on there...

"because he told me to. We go on motorcycle rides all the time"

and he's all like "well you need to remove your modified exhaust, or else someone will give you a ticket"

and I'm like "no, they won't!"

"Officer Moron, the wing is stock too! I did not put it on and it's not an option piece. "

Can you believe this: if we take off the muffler and the wing to replace them, then will be modified?
