Question about battery replacement and OEM security system

Hi all,

I'm picking up my car from the body shop tonight and have a question for anyone that can answer. When I checked up on the progress of the repairs last week, I noticed that my battery had been replaced. The manager said that my original battery had died and he had replaced it for me. No big deal. I then noticed that my security light was blinking three times rapidly, then pause, then three times rapidly, and so on. This occurs whether my security system is engaged or not. Can someone let me know the cause of this, and how I can get everything back to normal? I imagine this has to do with the death of my old battery.

Also, do I need to worry about resetting my ECU after having the battery replaced? If it matters, my power mods are full turboback exhaust and uppipe, with no catalytic converters.

Oh, and +1 for Matt's Auto Body in San Francisco. They have a lot of high-end cars in their shop and they did amazing work on my Subie. I'm glad to have it back.

Thanks,
Andrew

your alarm is in valet mode. Open the drivers door, then press and hold the unlock button.
Having the power off(or negative terminal disconnected) will reset the ECU.
