Hypothetically speaking, lets say I bought some new "unopened" coil overs from a dealer over ebay. Lets also say that I used a Visa Credit card to make my purchase last Thrusday, 5/26/05. Now lets say what I got in the mail is not what I ordered - it is incomplete.

If the dealer won't make the set complete, can I stop payment on my credit card? Or do I try and make an insurance claim with Visa?

PS - I have sent Email to the dealer, but the dealership is closed until Tuesday, so I don't know what they are going to say yet.

 

Defintly call up Visa. Thats why you used a credit card - lots of payment protection.

Well, you probalby want to at least wait until you hear from the dealer since they may be cool about it, but yeah, it's very easy to call up VISA and have them reverse a charge.

 

call the CC company, hold payment. ****ers like that should die when they don't hold up their end of the deal.

 

They are a Subaru dealer, and they have a pretty good reputation in their area forums. I suspect it is an honest mistake, but I admit after spending so much, I am a little put off.
