perhaps there is a distinction here between 'practical honest' and 'full disclosure'. like the above poster said, just dont act entitled and dont blatantly lie, just to get out of a citation.

Sorry, I read and typed wrong. I told him that it had gotten paid, so he went back to look and the status said "Registration pending." He then goes back to look in detail and said they never got the payment, only smog check.
