The Wife and I were heading back home from a fun filled weekend in Reno, I was cruising my normal 80 MPH wasn't going too fast, Passed a onramp I looked over like I always do to see if the Man is there watching sure enough one was there. I was like great slowed down to 70MPH put the CC on and stayed with the flow about 5 mins later after I thought I was clear we see him start to come up, he come up to my backdoor then puts on the brakes quickly and turns on the lights I tell the Wife to get the ins. and Reg. out, we slow to 20 MPH roll I turn the car off so he doesn't smell anything. He gets out I roll both windows down he comes over to my window and says I pulled you over for following too close Can I see your DL, I reach in my back pocket to pull my wallet out he then walks to the front of the car leans down and touches my front mount looks up at me through the windshield and smiles I'am thinking to myself I'am screwed. I hand my DL to him and he says to me you have very good eyes don't you? I say yes I saw you @ the last onramp looked down and said oh $hit, he then proceeded to tell me that he was glad I was aware of my surrounding and that most driver are idiots, and that even after I slowed down to 65MPH he can still give me a ticket for speeding and following too close but today I won the game between Him and I and asked if I had any kids I told him Yes I have 2. He tells me it's alot easier for kids to lie and tell their parents that they didn't take the cookie out of the cookie jar when I sat right there and watched them huh I said ya with a laugh, He then starts to tell me that I hear every lie you can think glad you were honest with me have a good day and safe trip Got into it car and I took off


The wife was pissed that I got out of another ticket but then relieved @ the same time. The next 45 miles I didn't go over 75MPH but once We got close to Sac the flow of traffic was 85-90 so I jumped in the fast lane and cruised on home. I started thinking how bad he could have nailed me. Upgraded turbo with all the supporting mods no cats!!! Etc... Etc...

I-80 coming down from Reno, especially from Colfax to Auburn is CHP central...
80mph will get you a ticket. Stick to 70-75 to be safe.

honesty works!! Ive been pulled over like 4 times in berkeley. The officers always ask "do you know why I pulled you over"

I always promptly replied that I was driving like an idiot (got caught all 4 times getting on it and hitting mad vtec from stop signs)

 

I only drive the STI on weekends so I usally don't drive like a idiot that much, but I'll have to remember that Quote I was driving like a idiot LOL

 

Don't know if that's good or bad
