Did you have any problems with it melting trim or anything? Stock hangers?

Stock hangers and no melted trim. This is a stock look alike exhaust and performs very nicely. Doesnt get as hot as other exhausts. I love it.

Ultimate Sleeper Exhaust IMO

tigsterz, that sucks. Legally speaking, you may not have had to open your hood for the cop... it can be argued that it is locked, like a trunk or glove compartment, which they legally need a warrant for.

Now if he states he has probable cause (which I doubt they would do over a fix-it ticket, but you never know), then that's a whole other story.

if you don't pop the hood when the cop ask, they can take your car away. cops don't need a warrant to search a car. only time they need a warrant is when its a house or something that can't move. probable cause for tig could be that he has an exhaust, and because thats related to street racing they can look under the hood or other mods

well over the weekened my gf was staying at a burlingame hotel and there was a cop in the parking lot. (she was driving my suby)All she did was turn the car on in the parking lot and the cop told her to get out of the car because she is driving a "race car" and doesn't have a racing license. Se he makes her pop open the hood I have an upgraded turbo but it's covered up with my cusco heat shield. I am also running a tmic. but I have a bunch of arc stuff in my engine bay so he said that I have a race engine. On top of that he said my blitz turbo timer is a "racing computer" since he saw it in fast and furious. So well eventually what happened was he threated to throw her in jail because she is driving a race car, and I have my tein sticker and so he was asking her if she was part of a gang. The cop was going crazy. But he said he wasn't going to impound my car only because it did not belong to her. I swear if you guys drive around the sm county area be very careful. Now I need to go to the state ref and get everything cleared up. Once I go to court i'm pleading NOT GUILTY for everything before I go to the state ref. I'm taking my turbo back off and putting all my stock stuff on including stock turbo. A lot of work but it should be better then paying an expensive fine.

I still don't see how people say the hush isn't loud catless, with a single high flow I still set off car alarms even while in stealth cruise mode, at WOT it's no joke. My wife said she can hear me 5 blocks away when I get on the highway. In a sedan I suppose the trunk helps isolate someone from the noise, but if you think it's quiet, let someone else drive your car while you stand on the sidewalk and listen. I was shocked at how loud it was when AI took my car for a test drive after my alignment.

Also not cleaning it? It a cop is somewhat savvy won't the black soot that looks as if gas is dripping out of the exhaust give them an idea? I looked at my neighbors stock 02, and with all 3 cats in, it seems the exhaust top stays somewhat clean, my borla is black within a day of cleaning it.
