I've heard he is retired now.
Get a wagon and commemorative 9/11 american flag license plates, I've been pulled over twice in 2 years and only got warnings both times.
One was for no front plate, a rookie (with sgt. in car) pulled me over at 1:45AM on San Fernando & 4th and FIRST asked me to step out of the car and put cuffs on me, THEN proceeds with the basic field sobriety test. At this point the sgt. got out of the car, stopped him, took the cuffs off and apologized to me. He quietly told the rookie "what the **** are you doing?" and then told me they pulled me over for no front plate and sorry again about the cuffs.
The other wasn't even a traffic stop. My buddy and I were in a mall parking lot around the corner from my house. Long story short, I was put in the back of the cruiser with my buddy while they searched my car. They found a few pocket knives, 3 pairs of black gloves in the glove box (that's where they go damnit!), my small "oh-****"/camping bag which had a machete, hatchet, maglite, MRE's, water, etc. and a decomissioned as in hollowed out completely hand grenade shift ****. In the process they tore out most of my interior, played with all my knives and toys, and capped the night off by calling the bomb squad. He (yeah, the bomb squad was a big Filipino dude in an SUV) showed up about 30 minutes later, looked at the grenade, stuck his finger in the hole on the bottom of it, then he pulled the pin and tossed it in the bushes!!!
They let us go with a warning.

To make my long story short, in circa 2004 I was on a drive up hammy road at around 1-2am, I had stopped at some point to take a leak... I saw a car coming in the far distance so I stepped off the road to do my business. The car turns out to be a sheriff deputy SUV, sees my car and stops... Lights the car up and starts walking near it. I didn't want to get a parking ticket so I turned on my mini-maglight, shined it at myself and showed the officer that I was there off in the bushes (taking a ****, no big deal right?).
Wrong, the officer makes me stand in front of his SUV immediately, stands next to his car and asks me questions, such as what am I doing there, why was I in the bushes, etc, etc. i told him the truth, he didn't really buy it so he told me to stay in front of his SUV as he searched my car (had illegal exhaust, and all sorts of **** so he had probable cause).
First thing he notices is my girlfriend's purse in the front seat. (picked her up from work earlier that evening and she left it in my car). That sets off a red flag... Then he opens my trunk and finds a ghille suit (sniper suit), an empty gun bag, boots, and other gun paraphernalia. (This was all from an airsoft game earlier in the day... I had taken out my airsoft gun but nothing else, lol)
Long story short, the cop flipped out, he thought I went up there to kill my gf and stash her body. I had to sit in the back of the car until they verified that I did in fact only stop to take a **** and that my gf was ok. 2+ hours later I was let go.
Last Sunday, about 10:30am, EB 24 between Lafayette and Walnut Creek. Motorcycle CHP in a shady spot coming on the backside of one of the long, sweeping rights. Saw him too late, knew he had me, pulled over right away. Clocked me at 93, wrote the ticket for 80 since "I pulled over so expeditiosly and saved him the trouble."
Been driving for 17 years, never had a ticket. What's something like this going to run me?
