WB I80,circa 1996, passed an unmarked sheriff's deputy at about 93mph. Pulled over before be hit his lights.
Old cop waddles up to my car, seriously upset, and asks, "WHY THE **** ARE DRIVING SO FAST!?!"

I knew I was getting a ticket so I answered, "I heard your wife was giving out $20 ******** and didn't wanna miss out."
He looked at me, stormed back to his car and drove away.

This happened over a year ago.

NB 101 near Bailey Rd.
about 1 AM.

CHP followed me for about a mile or so, then passed me up in lane #1, slowed down and switched to lane#3 (I was in lane #2), followed at a short distance, sped up, switched to lane #4, slowed down and followed at a distance again, and then pulled me over saying I had a modified exhaust and that it was too loud...Couldn't really argue about it since we were pretty much the only cars on the road at that hour...got a fix-it ticket.

got pulled over going 45 in a 15 a few months ago. Acted dumb and told the cop i was following a friend. Cop just said "This is a subaru huh? They're pretty fast huh?" Shrugged my shoulders and he let me go.

CHP pulled me over bout a month ago near Paso Robles, for no front license plate. Didnt say anything about my exhaust, but made me roll up my front windows to see if i had tint, which i did. Told me they were illegal and just wrote me up for the front license plate.

Last year got pulled over for a Cali rolling stop in milpitas. I was on my way to the doctors cuz i thought i broke my thumb and looks at my exhaust and asks me to open my hood and finds a BOV. I get state ref and a ticket for the stop sign.

and...

2 mins later on the same street. I get pulled over by another cop and he says i was on my cellphone (first day i actually used my headset) show him my headset plugged in my phone and mic in my ear. Then the douche bag asks me to roll up my window (which was tinted) and says your tint was too dark thats why i couldnt tell if you had the ear piece in. He was about to give me another ticket for my tint until i told him his boy just gave me a ticket 2 mins ago.

His exact words, "I'm not gonna bone you twice in one day, and thats what happens when you have a nice car, we like pickin on you guys. If you drove it like your grandma would, you wouldnt be gettin all this attention"

What to look for? A b/w or w crown Vic, most likely with lights on the top.

About a year and a half ago, Sunnyvale-Saratoga & Fremont in Sunnyvale. No Reg sticker. I had paid so he let me go. 5 days later, Sunnyvale-Saratoga & Fremont in Sunnyvale for no Reg sticker. He seemed like he wasn't going to let me go w/o a ticket except the previous LEO did so he probably didn't want to be a gigantic ****.

A week ago, coming home from work (wear a suit) at 1:00am. Sunnyvale-Saratoga & 280 in Sunnyvale. I had come off of 280 South an turned left to go over the freeway. The limit lines there are offset, so the straight lane ends about 1.5 car lengths ahead of the left turn lanes. I saw that the light for cross traffic was yellow so I slowly rolled up to the line known my light would turn green before I got there, and could therefore leave the car in 2nd. My plan worked as planned, but the Sheriff in the area thought it was "suspicious." in his defense it was 1am after Friday night. He let me go w/o a ticket (because he didn't smell booze on me most likely).

The other day on 17S exiting San Thomas. ***** in a BMW cuts me off without signaling, in sight of the CHP at the exit. We pass him, he moves into the exit (cool!) I get in the right turn lane, she is in the right-most straight left turn lane, copper is in the far left turn lane (4 lanes). She goes to get into my lane again, but I'm there. She reacts by darting into the lane next to the cop. All without signaling. We all pull up to our limit lines, but the copper stays about a car length behind her. She then turns her wheel to the right and inches forward to check the intersection. Then, from a left turn lane, turning across two other lanes of traffic at a red light, SHE TURNS RIGHT!

Copper didn't do a damn thing! A pick-up moved into the BMW's spot and I can tell said something along the lines of "WTF?" because the copper just threw his arms up like "Eh, what're you gonna do about it?"

I got pulled over in my Civic so many damn times, all for different reasons, but I never got a ticket.

One said my exhaust was too loud. I have a completely stock exhaust (with cat and resonator) and a non-fartcan muffler.

One for my license plate being "too dim" because the guy who owned it before me didn't cover the lenses when the whole car was painted.

One time for no front license plate, just a warning again.

And last for one brake light out (the bulb burnt out).

All warnings and all in the EXACT same place, Ford Ord.

They're just using those as excuses to check you/your car out to make sure your not vandalizing or a druggie.

I've gotten pulled over twice for no Lic. plate bulbs (law actually states illuminated or visible from 50ft with headlights, supposedly), both times were really just to look for drunk/suspicious activity.

Yeah definitely, as soon as I started driving my Subie around there, they don't even look at me twice
