Proof of insurance question

If you take proof of insurance to the court do they actually contact the insurance company?

I dont believe so, because your Proof, should state on it how long it is valid for.....if your Proof is out of date, they may contact the provider to see if you had renewed it.

i had a ticket with no proof of insurance at the time, i was in a rental car. i went in to court to pay the fine and it was like a $7 administration fee. they didn't call my insurance or anything, just noted that I had it and adjusted the fee's.

I highly doubt they will actually check the insurance by contacting your provider. I know for a fact that you can call an insurance agent and get insurance over the phone. You don't need to sign any paper work or even be in the same state.

This is highly useful when purchasing a new car, and getting out the door the same day.

Don't Forge It!

Don't forge one up. If the clerk happen to have too much time and call and find out it is fake, you are in deep **** because you just submitted a fraudulent document to a COURT. I don't know about Cali, but in many places in you can hardly find a job anymore, not even Big Mac, because no one hires criminals!
