BTW, your friend's Supra must have a boost leak if your WRX kept up with it. An MBC and a catless downpipe on a Supra gets them to over 400whp no problem.
I don't know about the auto being "very much slower than a 6 speed". It's pretty well documented that the fastest drag Supras are all auto. This car drives like a Lexus actually. Smooth, comfortable and pretty quick for being 100% stock. For now I'm using it as my daily driver lol.
