I'm gonna go wild and say the coil pack had corroded and therefore did the same to the plugs (yeah, that happened to my car lol).

Hmm...ok two more guesss...it's got a CAI on it that's making it run rich b/c it has the wrong diameter for the MAF. Or it was used with 89 octane instead of 91 too often.

Blown rings, maybe even the begining of the piston lands going as well....

Bet when you crack her open there will be some marring of the inside of the cyl wall..

just a guess..

or it could be that you dipped it in oil after you pulled it out.. and then fused a chunk of metal to the insulator...

I'm going out on a limb, assuming that it's a 4 cylinder, and the other 3 spark plugs are fine....

I'll go with a full car minus one spark plug. I wear large in T-shirts if you need to know.

Well for one, those plugs are obsolete and they do not make them anymore I think. The spark plug is 1 step colder than stock if the plugs were from a subaru. May be from a snowmobile or from a dirtbike but you didn't say. I take it the 7 ngk plug was put in after mods were done. One cylinder is running rich. The others aren't absolutely perfect either. pre ignition or knocking is my conclusion. I'd put the 6 heat range back in to see how it runs and check the plugs again after some miles. The car could be running back at idle as well. Anyone check the pcv valve? what type of oil is being used?
