OAKLAND, Calif. -- Oakland police and Alameda County SWAT teams have surrounded a home in East Oakland Tuesday night.
Initial reports indicate an armed man may be in the house at 88th Avenue and Plymouth Street.
Officers received reports the gunman was threatening several people. The standoff started around 5 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Police say a woman and a baby were able to leave the house safely after the standoff began. As of 10 p.m. Tuesday night, there was no resolution to the situation.
