we just passed by half dozen CHP on the southbound side with shotguns and assault rifles out, 17 is closed that direction...anyone hear anything? We couldn't figure out what seemed to be happening

 

google traffic shows green, and sig alert says traffic on 17 is 35-50
news results for "CHP" doesn't snow anything breaking

where exactly on 17?

 

I think it's big moody curve? The first big curve if you're heading SB...nothing was said on traffic reports in the radio either, but it was most definitely closed, maybe it's open now...

Eh no not a pot field, although the CHP plane was circling haha...it was on the hwy, one car was parked in the middle of the corner, then a hundred yards down there was a green civic pointed the wrong way toward the cops. The civic was the one being aimed at. We thought maybe a spinout and the people refused to get out?

 

Yeah I heard there was a high speed chase that ended there in a standoff. It was Krsto and that ambulance chaser lawyer of his trying to get out of the bay area, heard they had envelopes full of STI motors with them.
