Anyone know where I can get an inexpensive police scanner? I know it sounds weird, but I want to get it for my sister for her B-day... She's really into the news and loves watching cops, etc... She'd totally dig the police scanner.

Does not seem to work for the free scanner thing, thanks though.

Daniel I know Radio shack has them for sale, not sure if they are any good, go to the link posted up and get one of the models shown on the page. I would guess those are what you would want. The sales guy I talked to in the summer went off for almost an hour on how to program it to scan county to county and program it so that it did it at the touch of a button.

Funny stuff, tonight I listened for about 20 minutes, I heard about a shooting on Coolidge, and 34th. Stalled car at Lake Shore Chevron, Buick vs honda accident, 2 man and 2 woman pushing and yelling at one another complaints. Several traffic stops, and a car fire lol. Feed is 15-20 sec delay but still fun to listen to
