Public?

Maybe I'm just a noob to poker playing, but why not at a public park?

If there's only chips on the table, then what can anyone say about it? Especially if we have a few flyers calling it a hurricane relief poker tourney?

uhh

most likely this will be a night time occurence, at least later evening, and going to a public park, that would be open at night, with lights is probably close to impossible. plus cards flying everywhere due to wind, and its gonna get pretty cold at night these days. and its typically illegal to have alcohlic beverages at public area's. not a fan of the outdoor games...

When will this poker tourney take place? I play a regular game with my co-workers and i can ask one if he can host a tourney at his house. Probably no more than 15 i clubbers to mix with our regular crowd. his house is usually empty on weekends...

More like the BBQ meet posted up for the 24th. Daytime, lots of people gathered, get some real action going. Just a thought.

no real set date but im down for whenever! that would be really cool if your co-worker could sponser the event. i mean if you guys are down i think we should have a like a 10/person buy in...5 to the katrina fund and 5 to the owner of the house for being so generous. and then whatever the buy in for the tournament will be.
