IMO touching bumpers without damaging either vehicle is acceptable and commonplace, especially in downtown SF. Whether the space is small or not, sometimes finding another one is not an option especially when you're working on the clock.

bankman, there is no way of telling whether you are going to do damage or not, thats the thing. you never know if you hit him in just the right place and he has sone edge that catches and makes a small scratch. thats why you can never hit someone elses car no matter what the situation...

Just cause its 'acceptable' in a screwed up place like SF (Where I'd never take my baby in the first place. Its just not car-friendly) doesn't mean its right.
