EMT program not medic unfortunately. Closest CCs are CCSF and Foothill. Foothill requires you to be on a list and try to get high on that list....

Ncti or south city IMO... I went to Santa Cruz but their tuition has doubled since I went there, it's over 25 grand now which is ***ing retarded when foothill is 4 grand. I think ncti will be faster than the community colleges.

Faster the better, means you get to work sooner. Saving 6 months will make you 20-30 grand assuming you get a job.

I highly recommend NCTI Livermore. I am still in the didactic portion of the program and have had a great experience so far. It is a fast rate program and decently priced compaired to other Paramedic Programs. They also do payment plans which is great for those who can't forkout a ton of cash upfront.

If you can find someone that works at foothill or knows someone that work there you'd be amazed at how fast you'll get in!

EMT= emergency medical technician, Paramedic is an EMT-P , for paramedic, there is EMT-B or basic, EMT -A or advanced .

Sorry man, I thought you were joking. EMT-B is basically the ambulance driver and the Paramedic gets to do the fun stuff like intubation, IV's, defibrillation and emergency medicine.

Paramedic is definitely more advanced than a EMT is.

When you are in great pain, an EMT is allowed to comfort you with words. A paramedic can give you drugs!
