Offense needs to really fix their stuff... the run game is horrible, they need to work on better schemes. And again... I think you need to run the offense around Vernon Davis more.

Got it, that explains punting instead of taking a knee on 4th.

Looks like Vick might be playing after all.

That's going to put your defense to the test (I say "your" as a lifetime Raiders fan but a casual 49ers fan).

Eagles QB Vick could play Sunday if hand swelling goes down

The Philadelphia Eagles received good news on Michael Vick when it was determined Monday the quarterback has a contusion on his right hand, not a fracture as originally believed.

Eagles coach Andy Reid provided the update during his weekly news conference. He didn't rule out Vick for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers, saying the quarterback's status will depend on the level of swelling in his hand during the week. Reid said Vick's hand is sensitive to the touch at this point.

Vick underwent a CT scan Monday, which provided the improved diagnosis. Reid said a blood vessel in the hand made it appear like a fracture had occurred in previous tests.

I am happy that the niners are 2-1, but there is still improvement needed. The offensive line has been playing terrible. The funniest thing I have heard in a long time was the "Falso start, the whole offensive line." Alex Smith is look pretty good, but they need to take a few more shots down the field. It was nice to see them do that with Vernon, but they can use some help from their wide recievers.

It's tough to think the niners were pretty close to being 3-0.

Not trying to steal things from Hue Jackson, but there are things he did that have lit a Firestorm under the Raider's playbook.

He made Darren McFadden, the man. He actually asked Darren McFadden "What plays do you like to run?" And I'm sure he gave them a good amount of plays, and they run them maybe half the time on offense. Very good insight, he knows which plays he likes to run, and which ones he gains more yards from it. He's a beast.

49ers should do the same thing with Vernon Davis and Frank Gore. Then maybe run 10ish or more (obviously depending on the circumstances of the game) of each players favorite plays, or plays they gain the most yards/TDs with.

Frank Gore broke for a lot of long runs when Raye was here (yes I know he wasn't the best), but at least the running game won't be just a couple yards or nothing and running into the offensive line.

Davis is a mismatch for any Safety/LB and most DBs. He's bigger than most receivers and runs just as fast. Gotta utilize him like a Witten for Romo. I wouldn't mind if out of the 40 someodd passes per game a QB makes, about 10-15 of them were towards Davis. Davis also scored a lot more on his pro bowl year when Mike Martz was the coordinator and the field was spread (Yes, I know Harbaugh and his O-coordinator are no Mike Marts... HOWEVER, they still spread the offense when necessary.)

And why the living hell is Hunter running inside ball? Do you lets Sproiles run the inside ball? No, you get him out in the open field and let him burn people one on one, cuz it's always a mismatch.

49ers have the weapons, and they have their strengths... I haven't seen too much of that and yes, I still can't believe out of the crapball they've been playing they were almost 3-0.

The niners run game will hopefully get going against a defense that has given up 4.9 yards a rush. The Eagles db's are some of the best, so hopefully the run game is finally productive. I think the niners can pull it off because they have been close in every game so far.

I think the o-line has a lot to do with the lack of offensive scheming.
