49ers.com | Aldon Smith Earns Second Rookie Nomination

The impact rookie recorded 2.0 sacks, four tackles and a forced fumble against the Detroit Lions this past Sunday earning him a second consecutive Pepsi Rookie of the Week nomination. Smith also sacked Matthew Stafford in the end zone for a safety and forced a fumble from Stafford on his second sack.

For the season, Smith has 5.5 sacks, second most for linebackers in the NFL behind DeMarcus Ware of the Dallas Cowboys, who has 7.0.
I'm excited!

Bowman is lookin' like Patrick Willis, his intensity on hits is coming along well. His closing speed and open field tackling coming along, too.

Justin Smith is a motoring beast.

I want to see more from brooks, but that front 7 is becoming awesome =D. No 100yard rusher in 26 games or somethin' like that.

49ers really looking unstoppable now. Honestly think they can mow down every opponent on the rest of the schedule with the exception of maybe the Giants, Steelers, and the Ravens. But even with them, I still think the 49ers will manage out a win.

I like that we went for it on 4th down. Too bad the ref was blind and didn't give us the TD lol

You mean can't beat quality teams?

I'm still not convinced.

After today's performance, not convinced. They hit a wall in the second half. If they were really "THE" team, they would have kept on rolling over a third rate team like the Browns but they couldn't.

49ers LOOKED good, but they have to learn how to keep the points up and not to sputter out and punt all 2nd half. Gotta keep gettin' points even if the team isn't doing anything. Let them hang out and it can possibly bite you in the ***.

Hey guys I happen to be an usher for the Niners, just thought I'd let you all know.

If you see me come say hi! I'm usher number 49 (yeah, seriously, I lucked out on the number huh?)

I got to throw out this dumb b**** in the fourth quarter for throwing a lemonade cup over the railing into the crowd below. That was fun

they did sputter in the second half but they were also playing against the 4th best team defense in the leauge.. 3 out of the 4 top defense's in the league come out of their division, ravens and steelers being the other two so i think all things considered (bye week and the opposing defense) they didnt do that bad.. I agree that it was very lack luster second half but they adjusted to the niners scheme and knew what was coming.. I understand that people aren't "convinced" yet about this team and their abilities but they have beaten two very good football teams in the eagles and lions.. yes they play in a weak division but you still have to go win those games.. i look at the rest of the schedule and really only see 2 games that make me say maybe... the future is bright and i am "convinced" that this team is good as their record is.. I mean if you look at they are one terrible call by the refs , lining up in the netural zone by brooks i think against the cowboys (which was a terrible call as replay confirmed he was nowhere near the line), from being undefeated..
