disappointing season right up to the last game... a must lose and they couldn't even do that right
i would have been so excited for the draft this year had we locked up the #4 but with the 9th pick the pickings will be mediocre im sure
and luring in a good GM or HC to come in and figure this team out with a crappy pick makes things look more bleak.

locker maybe if the cardinals pass on him(doubtful) but luck no
personally if we cant get luck id like to see Andy Dalton from TCU hes got good mechanics and if developed right under the right coaches will be good
back to luck
luck will go to Carolina since trading with us or any other team and losing luck would be the stupidest decision in the history of the NFL being that there will be a rookie draft salary cap and luck will be signed for pennies.
they will be taking Luck and seeing what they have in him and then letting him go for a coming years pick and or $$$ later on AT BEST!
now, though nothing is confirmed Luck has been reported as saying to his team mates that he WILL be staying in college if jim harbaugh stays with Stanford
now jim harbaugh's a Michigan alumi and a HC job there will be his dream job and they are looking to lure him to Michigan
so are the 49ers
and Stanford has seen what jim harbaugh has done for their program and they also are going to stand out there with the check book open to ensure jim harbaugh stays in Stanford
but that will all play out after Stanford's Bowl Game tomorrow
GOOOOO STANFORD TREEs

Personally I hope they do not hire Harbaugh as the head coach. There are rumors that they will hire Balke(sp?) for the GM. Harbaugh may turn out to be a good NFL coach or a bust.
Who was the last college coach to make in the pros, really of any sport? None. There has been comparisons to Walsh and Harbaugh, however many forget Walsh had a ton of NFL experience before he went to Stanford and then to the Niners.
If they do hire Balke, they need to hire a proven NFL guy. Gruden, Cower and Fisher (if he is out in Tennessee). They will have to pay Harbaugh about the same as these guys, so why not get proven NFL winners.

Jim harbugh doesn't really have a offensive playbook that establishes something revolutionary to the game like Walsh did
but i will agree that he can shape and coach a quarter back to greatness and he does understand X's and O's so that does make him a good choice if it comes down to him as long as his Offensive coordinator brings something exciting to the west coast offensive scheme
if we build around Harbaugh as it looks like the jed's are looking to do since Balke is said to be a close friend of harbagh i think we can really be excited about this coaching staff and its front office in really shaping up a Superbowl contending team.
but it won't come next season... no mater who we get as GM and HC
for that we might have to wait 2 seasons
