Dingleberry was asked why he didn't insert Troy Smith during the 4th Quarter, and Dingleberry said something like this: "It's not fair to Troy because Alice got all the snaps during practice. Just wouldn't be fair to put Troy in the game like that"

Raider fans feel your pain.
Both teams have stunk for way too long. I thought the 9ers were turning the corner last year. Hopefully the Raiders are turning the corner this year.

Our Defense needs help. Our front is ok, the so called "veteran group" in the back... well they've been veterans that absolutely SUCK against the pass. I'd rather make Clements cover a TE as a safety than cover receivers. He likes to hit too. Spencer isn't good, Goldson is ok.
Secondary needs a new coach or new players or both. Offense needs a new O coordinator (god damn we let go mike martz.. oh and WAIT a second, the Bears are the most probably to win their division!).
Defense needs a new coach. I am tired of watching the 49ers play off, and let the game slip away in the past 2 minutes over and over and over. Just terrible calls, bad schemes, no pressure.
Apparently Dingleberry put his own foot in his own mouth and will be starting TROY smith this sunday instead of Alex Smith... and no, this time Alex isn't hurt.

Inconsistent offense with an inconsistent head coach. Dingle pretty much cut his last dangly strand with moves like this.

Quarterback Troy Smith will start for the San Francisco 49ers in Sunday's pivotal NFC West game against the St. Louis Rams, two sources told The San Francisco Chronicle Wednesday.
Both Smiths stink, but at least Troy keeps the game interesting. All Alice does is throw 5 yard sideline passes to Gore or whoever the RB happens to be at the time. Boring.
Either way, u guys should be rooting for them to lose. If they make the playoffs with a 7-9 record and get blown out in the playoffs, their draft pick will be 21st, instead of like 6th or 7th. All non-playoff teams get to draft first, regardless of their record. Even teams with a winning record who didn't make the playoffs will get a pick before the 49ers do.

Yay it's over. Lose next weeks game, too. And then we can get a good first round pick with Dingleberry gone.
And why make that QB switch? Talk about not going with the QB... so now who's to blame? Dingleberry again cuts his own throat.

well thats a rap for the niners
well now dingleberry is going to get fired and get mcnabb since he might be a free agent next year but we need a reall head coach not another singletary

Oh, forgot to add the firing of Mike Martz = failure.
Not only has he lead the Bears to the playoffs. He ADJUSTED HIS PLAYBOOK to a more balanced run/pass when necessary. Which cries the whole idea that the reason why the 49ers threw so much was because he knew the advantages of the 49ers offense. 2 fast TEs with 2 WRs was always a mismatch throwing the ball.

Seemed like Dingleberry was trying to tank in the beginning. Maybe it wasn't him who wanted to, or maybe Jed York told him to. Not that I mind, because now we're set up for a low pick in the draft. Otherwise, I can't imagine why he chose to kick off when they won the coin toss, and all those boneheaded run up the middle plays in the beginning. Then the low snaps and fumblings on 3rd and long plays, and all the other penalties. Rams should've been up big time in the first half, and failed to capitalize on the 49er mistakes. But they won against a predictable coach in Dingleberry. Can't wait to hear his comments after the game: "Gotta look at the film, gotta check the film, etc etc"
