Owner doesn't want to pay. Can't blame Beane for that. Gotta get them out the door for something, rather than nothing when their contract is up. There weren't many takers for JS because of his unwillingness to sign an extension with any team.

Honestly... the A's are just a farm team for the Yankees. They should either move or give up.
