1) I don't understand how it took all the way to Abu Dhabi for someone in a team to figure this out. F1 is all about finding the advantages in the rules, so, how so many missed this is unbelievable.

2) HAHA @ HONDA!!

3) I hope these other teams get their engines close to, or better than Mercedes

You would think they would have found it after 5 minutes.

2) HAHA @ HONDA!!
That's pretty ****ing stupid IMO that they (Honda) will not be allowed to make changes to their engines. wtf?

Alcohol/Ethanol is what these engines basically run on, and on turbo engines of the 80s they were making 1000hp cars, 1500hp cars for some in Qualifying trim. So basically FIA is keeping the power down by limiting the amount of fuel they can use (and probably boost too).

My guess had FIA did the right thing, you know, made the fuel requirements lax, we'd see faster cars in terms of power. Had they had the aero, we'd see probably the fastest F1 cars ever.

Too bad FIA doesn't get it.

Thing is these cars run on basically alcohol/ethanol/methanol type of fuel. To turbo them, to me, meant MORE power.

FIA knew this based on 80s power levels and to curb that they put the low RPM restriction AND the fuel flow restriction.

I want lots of aero, and I want refueling.

So yeah, I want the old F1 back... but all that can happen with the new engines. FIA just has to get over this.

I'll just leave this here:

Sucks for these countries to build facilities only to host a couple of GPs. Oh well, never liked Korea anyways. Hoping COTA continues to be popular so the USGP stays.

Their own fault for not thinking it through. If they cut Bernie a check early for each year it would be on the calendar. If they can't afford it that's their own fault.

On that note: **** Bernie. His demands are unsustainable, and crushing the sport.
