^ Vergne's drive was amazing! I really hope he keeps it up through the end of the year and can find a seat next year.

The one that won 36 more times and 4 more WCs.

Also, Vettel made very little money until his latest contract. Which basically paid him well for the great drives before hand.

Why would they pay him more than that when it was his first year at a top team?
What is he was a total flop?
Im sure he was sooooo stoked to get his contract with RBR.
Get paid $1 Million to travel the world and race awesome cars.

Exactly.

Lewis nearly won, and did win a WC getting paid $250k/yr

Vettel wasn't making much either until the contract was redone. These guys get paid AFTER they perform...

UNLESS you're Kimi. Kimi got paid 50mil/year and wasn't even a WC! But he did win it the first year, so, i guess you can say he earned it and he did put in another good drive in 2009, but fell off after.

The last year of his, then, Ferrari contract. Luca wanted Alonso so badly he allowed Kimi to leave and agreed to pay him in full for that last year even though Alonso took his place.

I think that's 2010?

LOL

Kimi Raikkonen may quit Formula One after having Ferrari contract paid off | Sport | theguardian.com

Yeah, they paid his contract in full in order for him to leave early so that Alonso could step in.

Could have worked in 2010 if Alonso didn't space out so badly in Abu Dhabi. But oh well... The rest is redbull history

I thought you guys were talking about a few races at the end of the season... But a full year... damn. Must have been nice for Kimi. Just hanging out for a year.

He was probably really bored.

Doesn't Ferrari usually have a non-compete clause for any motorsport involving Ferrari?

I don't think there are any Ferraris in WRC and NASCAR.
