Hey AVE, wanna bring that tricycle you had? Do you have more then one? I was thinking that maybe we can have drag races in the parking lot with those scooters? Know anyone else that has them?
Does that sound like a good idea to anyone else? Or just me?

I'll def have a more concrete thread with all the info and everything, this thread is just to get a feel for what kind of events we're going to have... I want to get all the solid information pertaining to the event before I make an official thread with all the concrete information.
I haven't hunted down vendors/sponsors yet because I don't have all my concrete info that I can provide for them. I want them to know everything and anything before they decide to sponsor us. A lot of work goes into planning an event of this caliber, lots of loose ends that need to be secured before you can do certain things. It's not just about renting a spot and telling everyone to show up... I wish it was that easy... There's A LOT taht goes on behind the scenes that no one understands or knows about... Just the pre-paid orders and calculations that need to be figured out before the food is bought, etc, etc, it's all a lot of friggin work because there are no solid numbers, you have to estimate everything... Now that I've done this for so many years, I have a good feel for what the turn outs will be, how much food people will eat (keep in mind I need to provide food for EVERY SINGLE PERSON, which is tough because I don't know exactly how many people will show up!). I wish people would give me their word about coming or not, and I wish EVERY person would tell me if they are coming or not... But a lot of people don't even read this forum and just show up, I need to keep all these people in mind when planning this monster of an event.
Last year things were done a lot differently then when I do this event, but even so, I bet throwing that meet was still a pain in the *** for Jourdan.
Planning the meet is tough, but I love making people happy, and I LOVE helping our community... It makes it all worth it.
I know there's a ton of folks who hate me (the whole moderator thing), but that doesn't bother me, I still want to make them happy and allow for everyone to have a good time.
